I really enjoy memoirs, at least the ones that I read. The Baby Catcher was my frist one and I loved it. It is what convinced me to try an unmedicated childbirth. I enjoyed A Girl Named Zippy but I really loved the sequal She Got Up Of the Couch and Other Heroic Tales. It was amazing with a lot of great quotes and thoughts. You should give it a try, even though you don't love memoirs. The Glass Castle was really great too. I'm not sure what I like about a well written memoir. Perhaps as I get older, I am more and more drawn towards real stories and people and the fabulous, heroic and complex people that exist in real life.
Great if you like memoirs. Superb, even. I don't like memoirs. But it was pretty darn funny at times.
